Kaplan turbine (also called axial flow hydroturbine) is suitable for developing medium and low water head power resources. Kaplan turbine with both fiixed blade and rotating blade can be provided. The water turbine with fixed blade is mainly used for small hydropower station with medium and small capacity and small variation in load, while turbine with rotating blade is used for hydropower station with medium and big capacity and big variation in load.
